Tragardh secured for Hawks Future
Monday, 07 April 2008

Cameron Tragardh is looking forward to making Wollongong his home for the next three years as the Wollongong IMB Hawks announce a 3 year deal with the 24 year-old forward.

After a breakout season with the IMB Hawks in 2007/2008, securing Tragardh’s contract was a high priority for the club. Ending the season with on a high and claiming the NBL’s Most Improved Player award, Tragardh has also been keen to seal the deal for his future with the Wollongong  IMB Hawks.

The 209cm forward, currently signed for the off season to the Northside Wizards, is looking to make further improvements to his game during his time away from Wollongong.

“My goals for next season will be staying consistent with my shooting.” said Cameron “I’ll also be concentrating on gaining strength in the off season to battle the larger centres and power forwards in the league.”

With the IMB Hawks threatened with extinction last season Tragardh is very pleased to go ahead with the 3 year contract.

“The community really rallied behind the team last year and I think the future for the Hawks is very exciting” Tragardh says of the Club.

“I’m very excited about making Wollongong my home for the next three years.” Tragardh reveals. “The Hawks are a proud club with passionate supporters and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Hawks Head Coach Eric Cooks is working hard on developing the right squad for the 2008/2009 season, and if his recruitment and faith in developing Cameron Tragardh is anything to go by Wollongong may be install for some exciting signings in the coming months.
