Tait said he was excited about the start of a new chapter of his career.

"I've been ready to play for a long time now and coming down here and seeing the environment and going to a couple of games I'm itching to get back out there,” Tait told TOBY ROBSON of The Dominion Post newspaper.

"As far as I'm concerned I'm fully fit and the specialist said I'm good to go. I could have played last week but the physio shot it down for one more week.”

"I would not say it's been easy because I haven't played for five or six months now, but I'm feeling pretty good about it."
