Illawarra 89 - Bankstown 101
Sunday, 06 April 2008
Illawarra Seahawks suffered a disappointing 101-89 loss at the Snakepit on Saturday night. After holding the Bruins to 40 first half points, Illawarra allowed Bankstown to take control of the match with a 33-point 3rd quarter.

Coach Matt Flinn was disappointed that the home team didn't take advantage of their distinct size advantage, allowing Bruins to dictate the game.

Flinn assessment is that the teams needs to "become a more organised basketball team with the limited time we spend together."

Brad Simpson had a big game for Illawarra with 23 points & 11 rebounds.

Dom Cooks chipped in with 13 points, 7 assists and Daniel Jackson had 16points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals.

Bruins were led by West Sydney Razorback Clint Reed who poured in 40-points and pulled down 11-rebounds.
